What is Christian Autosports?

In 1969 a group of dedicated Christians in Sydney, eager to present a Christian witness in motor sport, founded the Christian Autosports Club of Australia. Since that small beginning branches have also been established in other cities and towns. Branches and Sub-branches now exist in Queensland and Victoria as well as having members established in regional centres in these states. Members over time have moved to other countries, cities, towns and states and established groups within those areas that are supporters of Christian Autosports and its ideals. All Australian branches are CAMS affiliated (Confederation of Australian Motor sport) and actively involved in a diverse range of motor sport.

Originally the association's competitive involvement was mainly in rallying, Motorkhanas and lap dashes. This has expanded over the years into many diverse areas of motor sport with most common forms of motor sport having been covered at one time or another. The association is actively involved in Motor sport administration and organization. It organizes a range of competition and social activities for the benefit of its members and friends from other motoring organizations. The club also encourages the members to become involved in motor sport administration and to act as officials in motor sport

Each month Club Meetings are held featuring a variety of activities ranging from guest speakers, demonstrations, competition updates to videos and Christian devotions. Many activities are designed to develop member's mechanical knowledge and driving skills. Social activities of the association may include Dinners, BBQ's, film nights and bowling nights. Some of our best social times occur while engaged as officials in motor sports events. This might include the middle of the night, middle of a forest, at some ridiculous hour, waiting for a car to come through our rally control!.

The Club doesn't set itself up as an alternative to the established church but rather as a way for Christians with an interest in cars to constructively use their skills and interests in God's service. The Club is non-denominational Christian Organisation and membership is open to anyone who shares the clubs vision..
